Third level qualification, preferably in Sales, Business or Civil Engineering
Experience
A minimum of one years’ recent, relevant experience, for example a one year work placement, industrial experience or sales experience
Knowledge
An understanding of sales and sales processes desirable

Attention to detail, with excellent problem solving skills
IT literate
Well-developed negotiation and influencing skills

Requirements
Purpose of Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Executive will take responsibility for providing a professional, efficient sales support function.
Responsibilities:
· Act as first point of contact for ongoing sales matters, dealing with correspondence and incoming calls and enquiries
· Deal with customers via inbound and outbound calls, cold calling, email and in person
· Manage customer expectations, delivering desired service levels and overcoming objections
· Maintain activity and sales records using the in-house sales system
Develop and build positive relationships with key customers and suppliers
Co-ordinate and manage the despatch of orders
Arrange export and import shipments to customers via road, sea and air
Deal with online and telephone payments
Manage and monitor stock control, advising on stock levels and costs, and reconcile incoming / outgoing stock within the warehouse, resolving queries immediately
Liaise with key internal departments such as Finance and the Yard
Escalate relevant issues to senior management, as required
· Complete ad hoc analysis for the management team, as needed
· Manage sales records, ensuring that the company meets its GDPR responsibilities
· Liaise with the Senior Management team to support Health and Safety policies and procedures
· Review sales processes and procedures, making recommendations for improvement where required
· Support team members in a range of duties, proving cover where required
· Any other duties as required that are commensurate with the role.
