About the Role

Purpose of Position: To contribute to the depot's EBITDA by the efficient and effective handling and processing of customer orders

Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
• Sales support for Receipt and processing of customer orders onto M4 computer system to include confirmation checking and processing.
• Documentation of all relevant information form customer orders
• Check and validate customer confirmation purchase orders
• Regularly update information on system to include MSDS contacts, Control of central orders mailbox, creation of "X" delivery accounts
• Receive and process enquiries, ensuring follow up
• Process Return Inwards Notes and control depot register
• General Administration to include filing and post, recovery of support information for credit control queries, PODs, document imaging
• Liaise with other sales staff to maximise sales opportunities
• Communication with customer regarding concessions and any other required information
• Support in raising of documentation for customer complaints
• Assist in depot month end stock take counting, clear down and reconciliation to include containers and packaging.
• Undertake any reasonable tasks or duties assigned by the Office Manager from time to time, related to the effective and efficient performance of the job, and providing they are within the post holders ability

Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

• 1 – 2 years Customer Service experience

• Office Admin skills, including Microsoft packages

Personal Skills & Attributes

• Effective and polite telephone manner

• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative

• Diligent when taking and processing all orders, enquiries and complaints

• Process telephone orders in a polite and courteous manner

• Work within a busy environment

• Build relationships with both customers and colleagues

Health & Safety: Comply and promote all statutory and company safety policies and instigate work practices, which results in a safe and healthy workplace

Compliance; Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures

Key Interfaces: Customers, Account Managers, and other staff
