About the Role

Our client is a well-established company as a local market leader in steel stockholding and processing, requires at Customer Service Administrator to join their existing team.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Act as first point of contact for ongoing customer sales matters, dealing with correspondence and incoming calls and enquiries

• Maintain activity using the in-house sales system

• Develop and build positive relationships with key customers and suppliers

• Co-ordinate and manage the despatch of orders

• Arrange export and import shipments to customers via road, sea and air

• Deal with online and telephone payments

• Manage and monitor stock control, advising on stock levels and costs and reconcile incoming / outgoing stock within the warehouse, resolving queries immediately

• Liaise with key internal departments such as Finance and the Yard

• Escalate relevant issues to senior management, as required

• Complete ad hoc analysis for the management team, as needed

• Manage sales records, ensuring that the company meets its GDPR responsibilities

• Liaise with the Senior Management team to support Health and Safety policies and procedures

• Support team members in a range of duties, proving cover where required

Personnel Specification

Qualifications:

5 GCSE’S including Maths and English at Grade C and above.

Experience:

A minimum of one years’ recent, relevant experience in a customer service/sales environment

Desirable:

Degree in Business/Sales/Engineering background

Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Attention to detail, with excellent problem-solving skills

IT literate

Well-developed negotiation and influencing skills
